Mican Genealogy Page Directory  Total Records: 2  Ancestors Of April And Troy Anlage Charles Harper was born about 1770. He was a full-blooded Mississippi Choctaw Indian. He married Polly Cheatham; they lived in Montgomery County, Kentucky and had about 12 children, including my 3-G grandfather, Baldwin Harper. Charles Harper was a Baptist preacher. The family moved to Spencer County, Indiana in 1822 and then to Sangamon County, Illinois in 1828. This area later became Logan County. Baldwin Harper married (1) Martha (Patsy) Burns and (2) Permelia Cartmell. James Cormican was born about 1794 in New York. His parents were probably John Cormican of Ireland and Susannah Stroup of Germany. He married Margaret Henry; they lived in Butler County, Ohio and had at least 8 children, including my great-great grandfather John Cormican. John Cormican married Amy Gerard; they lived in Hamilton County, Ohio. Billy Bowlegs but he began when he was so very young to ride astride big horses, and on top of such large bundles, that it made his legs crooked, and his father, who knew a very little Spanish, nicknamed him Piernas Corvas, meaning bowlegs.
