The Baciocco Family Genealogy Page
BACIOCCO family from the time Bartolomeo (aka Bert) BACIOCCO first arrived in Stockton, California, from Italy ca 1885. He married Rose CANESSA in 1890 and they had 6 children. According to Bert's obituary, shortly after arriving in Stockton, he attended a party where his hosts spoke of the charms of their niece, Rose, who was still in Italy. It was wagered that Bert would not be courageous enough to send for her. He proved them wrong, and two years later she arrived in Stockton. They built their first home near the spot where Bert had spent his first night in Stockton, in a grove of oak trees, now the campus of the University of the Pacific.
