My grandfather, Edward McDaid, came from County Donegal, Ireland in 1898 to Hepner, Oregon and made his home there. He married Ellen Doherty in 1899 and they had seven children. My father, William J. McDaid, married Mildred Irene Howard in 1931. They moved to Idaho in the early 1940's. My grandfather's name was Earnest Howard. He married my grandmother, Bessie Bell Hawley, about 1911-1912. They had three daughters, Mildred(my mother), Margaret, and Reitha. I think that they were all born in Springfield, MO.
