In Ulster County, NY shows one Ebenezer Holcomb and one Ebenezer Holcomb, Jr. If the information I have on Ebenezer and his children with Susannah and Margaretta is correct, the Ebenezer, Jr. that's listed is my 3rd great-grandfather and the other Ebenezer is his father. Recent information indicates that Ebenezer Holcomb, Sr. may be the son of Return Holcomb 1st. my maternal grandmother, Louisa Merriman Hall. She is reliably reported to be of Cherokee descent. She was born in Kaseyville, Missouri on May 22, 1866 and died in Ryan, Oklahoma on November 26, 1912. On the 1910 census she stated that her mother was also born in Missouri and her father in North Carolina. Louisa was the second wife of John T. Vickers. They were married in Hickory Grove, KY on March 23, 1891 and lived in Pryorsburg, KY for several years before moving to Indian Territory (OK) in the late 1800s.
