I have traced this family back to the mid 1700's. \r\n\r\nThe Carter Family Home was Ivy Cottage, Dunbeath and the Sutherland Home was Smithy Cottage, Ulbster.\r\n\r\nMy Father's family is mainly McLeod and Munro based in Polchaple, Drumbeg, Sutherland and Strathcroy, Stoer, Sutherland.
