my grand father, Lisardo Batan Varela, who came from Orence, Spain and went to Habanna, Cuba for two years, and then arrived to New Orleans,Lo on October 29, 1919 on the SS Chalmette. He married Georgina Vega Nevares in 1934 through La Iglecia La Milagrosa located in New York which then merged with Holy Agony in 1974, and again on February 18, 1952 in Edgewater, New Jersey in order to complete his naturalization. JAMES LLOYD AND SUSANNA WINGATE OF THE ST MARY'S RIVER
James Lloyd is my Great-great grandfather. I have been told that when the Lloyd's came from England to America, some went to Canada, some went west and some traveled south. James' father may have been Benjamin Lloyd. James is believed to have come from Virginia to Georgia to Kings Ferry in Nassau County, Florida in the early 1800's. In the 1820 Camden Co census, he is shown with 2 males under 10 yrs old and 1 female under 15 years old. I believe he was previously married and came here with his children. He married Susannah Wingate from Kings Ferry, Fl in 1822. Their descendants lived on both sides of the St Mary's River at Kings Ferry, Kent & Elbow on the Florida side and Camp Pinckney, Coleraine, Traders Hill and St George in Camden County on the Georgia side. Part of Camden County became Charlton County in 1854. |

Barcom from Wisconsin and Canada, Meier later changed to Meyer from Wisconsin decended from John Meier in Germany, Johnston from the West Monroe, Oswego County New York area and the Sheboygan County Wisconsin area and Zettel from Wisconsin decended from Sebastian Zettel of Germany, the area of Bavaria. The name Barcom stems from the French name Berthiuame and is spelled by some branches as Barcomb, Barcome and several others. Zettel is sometimes spelled Zettl. Sebastian, Maria and their three children settled in Leroy, Wisconsin. Son Joseph later moved to West Bend, Washington, Wisconsin while daughter Maria, Teresa and son Xaver remained in the Leroy area . Joseph's son Albert settled in Baron, Wisconsin while the rest of his children remained in the West Bend area. Johan Meier settled in Washington County Wisconsin and his children settled primarily in the West Bend and Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. The Hayden B. Baldwin Family Home Page
Baldwin family has been traced back to England about 1610 to my (10)great grandfather, John Baldwin. Between 1610(?) to about 1810 the Baldwin family moved from Rhode Island to Long Island (was called the Baldwin's now known as the Hampton's), to Duchess County NY. My great great grandfather William Baldwin was born in Dutchess County New York around April 1813. He married a women named Nisa Ann Talmadge (sp) in Stanford NY on December 10 1835. Nisa was born in Connecticut on October 23, 1819. They had seven children. Daniel Henry Baldwin (B) December 4, 1840, Walter B., Sarah, Carrie, Elizabeth, Addison, and Edward. What little information that I have follows: My Great-Grandfather was Anthony B. ACHEY and he was married to Nora GASSET. My Grandfather, Paul Rufus ACHEY, was one of 11 children and was born in Myerstown, PA on June 15, 1902. Other children's names are: Henry, Kathryn, Edith, Herman, Levi, Sarah, Raymond, Adeline. My grandfather moved to Davenport, Iowa where he married Hilda NISSEN.
