Description: Looking for link to trace back to England of John Layton Sr. Born near London, England in 1730. John Sr. first appeared in Leonardtown, St. Mary?s Co. Maryland in 1762 when he married Jane Pearce Layton. John & Jane had 6 children in Maryland and moved to Washington Co. Kentucky by 1790. John?s family then moved to Perry Co. Missouri by 1807. John Sr. died by 1813 and Jane by 1820 in Perry Co. Missouri. My Dad family migrated to De Witt Co. Texas by 1841. My Layton family line goes back 8 generations.
