Description: I am looking for the family of Patrick Hurney who was born about 1825 in Ireland. He immigrated to the US about 1855. He and his wife Sara(h) were in Wabasha, MN from about 1859 through 1879. They had some children there and then moved to Brookings County, Parnell Township, South Dakota. Patrick and Sara had 12 children, 8 of which lived to adulthood. The children were John b 1859, married Bridget Killalea; Pat born about 1865, married Nellie McCarthy; Tom born about 1873 married Mollie McCarthy; Edward, single; Marry married Patrick McCaffrey; Magie born about 1861 married John O'Leary; Nora born about 1868 married Jack Killalea; Sara born about 1863, single. Sara, the mother, was born in Galway, Ireland in 1835 but I do not know her surname. Patrick and Sara are buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Elkton, SD.
