BAUGNIET - BOUGNEIT Family of Wisconsin Home Page
The BAUGNIET family immigrated from Mehaigne, Belgium in 1856. Clement and Augustine (PAQUET) Baugniet sailed with their sons, Florent, Francois and Frederic, (my great grandfather) to the United States and eventually settled in Wisconsin, in the Mishicot area of Manitowoc County. Frederick BAUGNIET was born 8 Jul 1855, died 19 Apr 1931. Florent Baugniet changed the spelling of his name to BOUGNEIT and settled in Niagara, Wisconsin and at some point moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin. |

They had 7 children: Wilhelmine, Augusta, Frederick, Ernestine,Mary, William and August. Charles Gotlieb ULRICH (1839-1913) was born in Hammermuchle,Germany and died in Dewitt, Nebraska. He was married to Johannah GRAFF (1844-1879/81). They lived in Illinois where Johannah is buried. They had 6 children: Anna, Wilhemina, Albert, Mary, Charles, and Edward. The Robert Baller Home Page
Henry (or Heinrich) Baller was born in Pommern Prussia in 1863. He married Ottilie Schorsch who was born and lived in Malwitz, a small town near Sprottau (now Szprotawa) in Silesia, Prussia. They emigrated to North America in approximately 1894 . Their entry point was Halifax Nova Scotia and then to Detroit. They settled in South Dakota and eventually made their way to St. Paul Minnesota. Henrys parents remained in Prussia. Their names were August and Augustine (nee Bunde) Baller. August and Augustine were born in 1840 and 1838 and had 7 children including Henry: Herman, Emilie, Anna, Alwine, Franz and Otto. Herman emigrated to Milwaukee Wisconsin and also lived in Oshkosh. Emilie remained in Prussia and married a man named Schindler. (They had 3 children: Gertrude, Martha and Paul). Anna remained in Prussia and married a man named Johannes Plack. I have no information on Alwine. Franz may have emigrated to South America. Otto appears to have remained in Germany, marrying a woman by the name of Anne Koch. They had several children. Otto died at the age of 32. I would be very interested in hearing from any descendants of August and Augustine. Zagorski family Surname. Of Polish ancestry, Michael John Zagorski and Justina Balbina Jagodzinska emigrated to the US in 1887. They also settled in St. Paul, Minnesota Nowalany family surname. Klemens Nowalany and Johanna Mleko emigrated from Czechoslovakia/Austria to the US (Duluth, Minnesota) in December of 1905. Klemens father, Valenty Nowalany was the Marshall of Bugaj in Czechoslovakia. Valenty was married to a woman by the surname of Stryczynska. The Baller-Garski-Kieffer-Nawalany etc Family Tree |

Edward Bently Gilder, Head Maggie Reese Gilder, Wife Alice Gilder, Daughter, born June 29th, 1896 Gertrude Gilder, Daughter, born about 1894 Edward and Maggie had one more daughter in 1901...Marian, and then Maggie died when Marian was 4 or 5 (1905-1906). Edward was born around 1864 and immigrated to this country from England around 1890. His wife was Maggie Reese, born around 1874 in Philadelphia. Maggie died around 1905 in Philadelphia. Maggie had one sister Elsie. Frederick Buchler married Marian Gilder on May 26th, 1924. Frederick was born in Pennsylvania on Dec 11th, 1887. He had two older brothers, Augustus and William. All of them were born in Pennsylvania, but either one or both of their parents were born in Germany. Frederick's birth certificate lists his parents as Joseph and Mrs. Biehler, but his Baptismal Certificate lists his parents as Frederick Bichler and Elizabeth Fillers, and still another record (his Funeral book) lists his Parents as Augusta and Elizabeth Buchler.
