Origin: Langnau IE, Switzerland in late 1400's took the surname Gysi. This surname was based upon his occupation of being a whipper in those days a whipper was called a Gyseler. But Arst Gysi did not want this name because his brother had already taken it so he decided to be original and still base his name on his occupation but however change the spelling from gyseler to Gysi - Gysi was a whipper or chaser of wild dogs from the town as his brother and father were also, this name today in some places is spelt Geesey

Origin: Keech is an anglo-saxon word meaning fat or tallow and the practice of naming workmen by the work they performed leeds to Keech being a low grade labourer who probably removed the layers of flesh and fat from animal hides. It thus by usage became a derogatory term. Shakespeare used it when king henry described Cardinal Wolseley as a "Great Keech whose very girth denies the sunshine to the earth beneath" in other words a big fat lump of a man.later Keech meant a Butcher and also a tallow candle maker.
