The Thomas L. Barcom Family Home Page
Barcom from Wisconsin and Canada, Meier later changed to Meyer from Wisconsin decended from John Meier in Germany, Johnston from the West Monroe, Oswego County New York area and the Sheboygan County Wisconsin area and Zettel from Wisconsin decended from Sebastian Zettel of Germany, the area of Bavaria. The name Barcom stems from the French name Berthiuame and is spelled by some branches as Barcomb, Barcome and several others. Zettel is sometimes spelled Zettl. Sebastian, Maria and their three children settled in Leroy, Wisconsin. Son Joseph later moved to West Bend, Washington, Wisconsin while daughter Maria, Teresa and son Xaver remained in the Leroy area . Joseph's son Albert settled in Baron, Wisconsin while the rest of his children remained in the West Bend area. Johan Meier settled in Washington County Wisconsin and his children settled primarily in the West Bend and Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. Foster Eddings was born abt. 1844. Ebbie Ware was born 1869 in Lebanon, TN. Father Ransom Ware. Foster and Ebba was married around 1891 in Lebanon, TN. They migrated to Texas around 1896 or 1897. Foster had several wives before he married my ggrandmother Ebbie. On the 1870 census there was a child named Foster Eddins in Wharton Co. TX. William Allin b. 1640 of England came to Prudence Island in Rhode Island about 1660.\r\n\r\nWilliam's great great grandson Samuel Reynolds Allen and his new wife Pamelia (Mila) Dee settled in Stanbridge Township in Missquoi County in Quebec about 1810. Pamelia's father Elijah Dee fought in the Revolutionary War and in the French and Indian war as Elijah Davol of Connecticut. Samuel's mother Mary Reynolds\ ancestors came on the Mayflower.\r\n\r\nSamuel Reynolds Allen's son Sylvester Jackson Allen came to Bolton Township Brome County Quebec in 1842. Sylvester Jackson Allen and his second wife Eleanor Turner were my great grand parents.\r\n |

Atkinson family From Harrison, Morgan, and Perry county Ohio\r\n\r\nJames Atkison, is the father of Samuel James Atkinson, of Morgan and later Morgan County. James, was married to Sarah Phillis, in Morgan county, 1863.\r\n\r\nAyers family connection is through Gladys Ayers, the daughter of David Ayers and Jane Townsend. David is the son of Isaac and Ann Hope Ayers, of southern Ohio. Isaac was also married to Samantha Anderson in 1861, in Vinton county, Ohio.\r\n\r\nJane Townsend is the daughter of Martin Townsend and Louisa Graham, from Meigs and Athens county area.\r\nMost of my Atkinson and Clark research centers around Southern Ohio, in Harrison, Perry, Morgan, Athens, and Franklin counties. \r\n\r\nSeveral Clark Cousins have shared their research, for which I thank them. John Clark moved from Maryland to Pennslyvania, reaching Perry County, about 1820.\r\n\r\nMy Mansfield, Oyler and Stevens research has been centered in northern Ohio. The Oylers were originally from North Carolina, before moving to the midwest.
