Description: Seeking information on who were the parents of Green Whatley and his birthplace. Green Whatley was born abt. b: 1859-62 in Georgia, d: 10-18-1937 in Stockton Deans, Baldwin County, Alabama. Appears in 1900 Marion Georgia with 1st wife Sarah J. Adams-Whatley and four children, Stephen F. Whatley, Hattie M Whatley, Rosa Whatley and Viva Whatley. Also appears in Marion, Georgia Marriage Records 1985 marrying Sarah J. Adams. Later Green Whatley appears in the 1920 and 1930 Stockton and Deans Baldwin, County, Alabama Census with his second wife Mary Alice Jaye-Whatley and their six children, Jimmie, Lindsey, Arthur, Irene, Sadie, and Lucy Whatley. Green Whatley died in 1937 in Stockton, Baldwin County Alabama and is buried at the Lathum Methodist Cemetery in Lathum, Alabama.

My Mother's side includes a step grandmother(Helen Stergar )Gainsville, FL a brother Donald Stergar Lady Lake, FL a Half sister name Theresa Stergar Whereabouts (unk) father's name was Frank stergar(don't know 1st wife name she passed on before I was ever thought of lol) but Donald had 2 brothers I think and married a girl named nancy and they had three children named Mark, Victoria(Vicki) and Brian born in 1964 I believe, he was the same age as my brother. Description: Looking for the ancestors of the "allusive" BENJAMINl CARPENTER , born abt. 1774 in Coventry, Kent Co., Rhode Island, and died bef. November 12, 1844 in Carpenter Hollow, Clinton Twp., Wyoming Co., Pennsylvania. He married FREELOVE BAILEY Abt. 1798, daughter of SAMUEL BAILEY and ROBE WEBB. She was born January 05, 1778 in Coventry, Kent Co., Rhode Island.
There are vary few records to verify Benjamin's information or ancestry. However, most information indications that he may be a direct descendant of William Carpenter of Providence, Rhode Island. Tradition states that Benjamin was born in Coventry, Rhode Island, as was his wife Freelove and settled in South Kingston where there first child, Peleg was born. Benjamin and his family departed Rhode Island in the Summer of 1801 to colonize new land in northeast Pennsylvania known as Beech Woods or "The Beech" as it was called until it's incorporation in 1806 as Abington Township. Upon arrival in northeast Pennsylvania, Benjamin took claim to land at the west end of the Lithia Valley near ,what is now, the town of Factoryville and established his homestead of approximately 200 acres. This area became known as "Carpenter Hollow" and is still known by that name to this date.
Note: The town of Bailey Hollow (now Dalton) in Abington Twp. Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania was settled by Benjamin's brother-in-law George Anson Bailey
