My grandfather's name was Ora Overton Arnold. He was born in Scottville, Macoupin County, Illinois on December 6, 1885. His father's name was James William Arnold, also born in Illinois in August,1856. The 1900 census lists both James W.'s parents born in Tennessee. my grandfather's siblings George, Noah and sisters, Delia and possibly a Martha. All were born in the 1880's. Ora O. Arnold, my grandfather, was married to Stella May Bilger, born May 1887 in Roodhouse, Greene County, Illinois. Her father's name was Joseph Bilger born July 1839 in Ohio. Stella's mother was Tacy Elizabeth Sponsler, born MAY 1848 in Ohio. |

They moved to Allen Co., OH in the early 1900's with their family of 9 children. \r\n\r\nEtta Evelyn Perry married RALPH CLYDE or COLIN ROUSH in 1913. He was born to CHARLES OSCAR ROUSH and OLIVE RAILING. Ralph was born to FRANK and MAHALA ROUSH.\r\n\r\nAKE family from the Cincinnati, Hamilton Co. OH area. JAMES HENRY AKE was born in 1841 to a JOHN L. AKE b. 1810 - d. 1883 and NANCY TURNER b. 1814. They had 4 children including James Henry and lived in or near Dearborn Co., Indiana.\r\n\r\nJames Henry married MARTHA ELIZABETH BRADLEY who was from the southeastern part of Indiana. They had 9 children. \r\n\r\nFREDERICK J. DIERKES from the Cincinnati, OH area. His son was also named Frederick J. and was born in 1867. They were both carpenters by trade. I have reason to believe the wife of the Senior Frederick was CHRISTINA D. SCHNITTGER. The Junior Frederick was married Janet Elaine Ake |
