Samuel TRUSCOTT - b.1606 Samuel RAIL - b. 1782 Robert BALL - b. 1771 George Lewis Truscott and his wife Hannah Hendy Rail and their family came to Canada as Barr Colonists in 1903. my grandfather William Ball b.July 15, 1835 in Paris, Ont. He married Mary Ann Midgley b.July 6, 1846 in Paris. Both lived in or near Paris, Ontario. She died March 24, 1882. He died December 25, 1912 in Chatham, Ont. His father was Henry Ball - wife Elizabeth Small. I have traced them to Lambourne Berkshire England. His father was Robert, mother Sarah. Suzi A Baker - InterneTree father'side goes back to Lawrence Cline married Mary Flear daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth Flear. There are also the names of Sarah, Charles, Henry, Fanny, and Walter. Mary was born in Lincolnshire, England 11-25-1853. They had Roy(my grandpa), Edgar, Frank, and Maude Cline. They lived mostly around Auburn, Neb. Frank was a pharmacist, and Edgar was a doctor. Roy and Ted and Fletcher (my dad). On the other side, my mom's parents were Ira Bertwell and Lula Jane Tipton. Lula's parents were Charles and Leona Josie McConnaughey. Leona Josie was born in Knoxville, Iowa on May 14, 1861. Her mother was Ellen Young. Lula jane married Ira Bertwell June 12, 1917, the second marriage for both. Together they had Leola, Rachel Leona (my mom), Helen, and twins, Ester abd Lester, who were put in an orphanage, when Lula Jane died at the age of 39. They, too, all lived in the Auburn, Nebraska area. |

GROZIER-- The early Groziers were seafaring; Captains and crew members of transport ships and fishing vessels. My Grandfather, Daniel Grozier went to sea as a Cabin boy at the age of eight. He retired from the sea when he was in his early thirties. HOPKINS-- This line of the tree goes back to Stephen Hopkins of the Ship Mayflower. SCHUTT-- They originated in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and came to America in 1874. SCHROTH--This family was from Baden, Germany and came to America by 1855. PEAL--Came to America in 1835 to New Jersey. The ancestor of our line came to Cincinnati about 1854. They were from Engter by Osnabrick, Hanover, Germany. ggg gf, James GUNN (born 1770-1775) in possibly NC. He m. Jane/Jinny (possibly MURRIN in Washington Co, Va, 1799). He lived on Pitman Creek in Pulaski Co, KY 1801-1816. Issue included KY-born 1800-1813: Anna, John, Robert, Elizabeth, Amy; and IN-born 1817-1823: Lovicy, Drusilla and Betty Jane b. in Franklin or Fayette Co, Indiana . In 1835 he entered 387 acres of land in Brandywine Twp, Hancock Co, IN. Death and burial of James presumed to be Hancock Co, IN. Wilhelm ANTES emigrated from Germany via The Friendship from Rotterdam and Cowes, England in 1741, to Philadelphia, PA, where he took the oath to the province. He later settled in Frederick Co, MD. He was married to Elizabeth (possibly REINHARD), Anna Maria SCHMIDT, and Maria SHUTTER. Many descendants settled Washington Co, VA under surnames ANDESS, ANDES, ANDERS, ANDIS. Tennessee claims many ANDES descendants. My direct line is through Wilhelm's 9th issue, John ANDERS, b. 1768 in Frederick Co, MD. His son Alexander ANDERS/ANDTES/ANDIS pioneered Brandywine Twp, Hancock Co, IN. Other ANDIS descendants may also be found in southern Indiana.
