Penny Imler
Description: I am trying to find any information about my ancestors, Anton & Anna Catherine (Minsel) Hoffman. All I know is they left Hessen, Germany in the late 1830s or early 1840s. Description: William S. H. Fricke (b. 1833) emigrated from Prussia, not sure when or from where. Married to Eliza (b 1835) also from Prussia. Lived in Brooklyn and had numerous children, only a few survived (Mena b. 1864, August 1866, Winnie b. 1875). Eliza died in 1884 and William married Annette producing two more known sons (William b. 1887? and Walter b. 1891). August married Annie Hoff in 1892 had Franklin b. 1894 and Gertrude 1898...moved to Caldwell NJ around 1920. Franklin married Florence Doppmann in Brooklyn and had Franklin William in 1927.
