Robert moved from MS to LA, 1st Opelousas, then Washington, a small town near Opelousas, finally, New Orleans. He entered the Confederacy & was captured as a prisoner of war, & held until the end of the year at Point Lookout, MD. He was rumored to have been a war correspondent for the OPELOUSAS COURIER.\r\n\r\nAllecia Lucretia DESSESSARTS was born circa 1850, probably in Washington, LA. Little is known of her. She & Robert Rowe had at least 12 children after he returned from the war, though they may never have formally married.
