Some went over to Ireland (probably during or after the Plantation Era...One came back to Galloway Hugh McGhee born 1889(circa)...Hugh McGhee was born Ireland his parents are James McGhee and Ann Jackson...James McGhee was a soldier...presumable in Ireland....I have nothing on the Scotch Irish McGhee except the names of Hugh's parents and his father's occupation...(lifted from Hugh's death certificate) Hugh McGhee married Agnes (Ann) Fulton 1809 in Kirkcolm Galloway... I have plenty of info from then to present day (although never enough)
