My Ballard-Miller Family
James Mayfield Ballard family. He was born in Mississippi or Tennessee in 1849. He was first married to Susan Francis Simms and then to Nancy Lorrinda Lee Young. She was first married to John Bunyon Ivie. James was found married to Nancy in 1900 in Indepence Co., Ark. He may have been an herb doctor. His father left for the war when James was 12 and he was never heard from again. Found on 1870 Butler Co, Missouri census living with Nancy Ballard. Siblings: Caleb, Thomas, Jimima, Betty and George W. Most of the family lives in Mo and Ark , although some migrated to Tx, Cal and Ok. the John Paul Miller family. They came from Dunningen, Germany near Rottweil. They settled in Hokah, Mn. The Rennhack family came from Canada and Germany and live in Wisconsin. William Franklin Brown originated from Ga. He was one of the founders of Brown County, Tx. He was the first district clerk for Brown, Co. He ran mail and fought indians. His descendents live in Brownwood, Tx. The Stamp family comes from Ga. and live in Col, Az and Cal. They are married into the Bacon family...which go back to Grimaldus the Norman from England. |
The Jarcho-Yarcha-Turoff-Turow-Bermant families from Slutsk
The origins of this family start in Ancient Judea and stretch to Medieval Spain and Southern France and the town of Lunel where the Ha-Yarchi families lived until late 1300's- early 1400's. The family then moved North and East into the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in what became the province of Minsk Gubernia in present day Belarus. The tows of Baranovitch, Slutsk ,Turov and Kletsk and the surrounding towns were where they lived during the 1700's and 1800's. The earliest named ancestor was Zimel Yarcha(1750-1800). His descendents spread to other areas of Russia such as Pinsk, Minsk, Yekatrinoslav and Yousovka before leaving for Israel,England,Belgium,Argentina and most to the USA.
