The search for ANGLE's has led to Michigan with the birth of Evert Gaston ANGLE, Oct 16, 1882, son of John M. ANGLE, b. Oct 5, 1835, NJ, and Nancy Jane GASTON, b. Jun 19, 1842, PA, and his spouse the former Nina May ROSE, b. Oct 20, 1891 in Scranton, PA, daughter of Oliver L. ROSE and Frances Margaret (Maggie) NESS; and to Kidderminster, England with the birth of William Henry PHIPPS, b. Nov 9, 1854, d. Jan 2, 1935, m. Eliza TANNER b. Aug 9, 1858, d. Sep 16, 1934, abt 1875. The search for MCKEEN/MCKEAN families has led to William McKeen of Argyleshire, Scotland, father of James McKeen, ancestor of all the McKeen's that came to New England and Nova Scotia. His sons were John, James, and William. Our McKeen line is from John. John died shortly before sailing for the colonies and his widow came over with his brother James. John had four children John, Robert, Samuel and Mary. Of the three brothers, it is said that, John is the ancestor of the McKeens of Nova Scotia, Robert the McKeans of Cecil, Maryland, and Huntington, Burlington and Troy, Pennsylvania; and Samuel of the McKeens and McKeans of Acworth and Deering, New Hampshire, and Belfast, Maine. James immigrated from Ireland in 1718 and settled in New Hampshire. William followed inW. E. Angle |

William Andrews was born in NC. Elizabeth Andrews Goodwin married Young Goodwin. Marmaduke Box (SC) was married to Nancy Powell (SC). They are in Fayette Co, AL in 1830 and then Lavaca Co, TX in 1840. Their daughter Martha Box Andrews married Reddin Andrews (She was his second wife and mother of chilren 4 through 9. His first wife was the widow Mary Munn with whom he had 3 children.) The parents of Lyda Rosamund Gilbert (married to T. G. Andrews - son of Reddin Andrews, were Love (Lovinsky)E. Gilbert and wife Elizabeth Fairchild Jackson. His parents were Abraham (b. 1801 SC) and Elizabeth West Gilbert (m.1829 Newberry SC). Her parents were Cornelius Sanford West (b. CN 1811) and Elizabeth Fairchild Jackson (b. NY) m. 1832 (probably in NY). Abraham Gilbert had a brother Lovinsky Gilbert and they are found in SC and AL records. Mary Francis Bartley (b. 1883 FL) was the daughter of W. H. Bartley (b. England 1845 and immigrated 1864)and Mary Dorinda Santini(b. 1849 FL parents b. France)married Edward Michael Doyle in FL about 1906. Mary Francis and Edward Michael were in San Antonio in the 1920's where they had both died before 1930.
