Meiners Family from Kenton Co., Kentucky. Wilhelm H. Meiners first appears in the 1880 Census. The first child of Wilhelm H. Meiners and Anna Maria Catharina Kohne was born in 1878. His name was Henry of Harry George Meiners. I know Wilhelm and Anna imigrated from Germany some time before that. They had three other sons, Philip Ulrich, John Joseph, and William Henry Meiners. Morris-Hawkins family of Western Kentucky. Clinton MacCauley Morris was married to Iva Indiana Hawkins. I know that Clinton died around 1935. Iva died in 1967 or 1968. They had three sons, Francis, Milton, and Clinton. Francis was born in Earlington, Ky. in 1908 or 1909. There were also several daughters. They were Virginia Marie, Charlotte Miranda, Ruth Hazel, Anna Lee, Barbara, and Ola B. Benjamin Franklin Moore. He was born in Livingston Co., Ky. in the 1870's or 1880's. He married Julia Etta Crank Rose in Illinois. They lived in Harrisburg, Ill. at the timee of their deaths in the 1950's. Benjamin ran a store. I know his parents were H. F. Moore and Elvira Lemmons or Leming. They were married in Caldwell or Lyons Co. in Kentucky. My husband's great-great grandparents. Addison Ball and Abigail Adaline Robbins. They lived in southern Kentucky at the time of their deaths. They had a son named Joshua Linzy Ball who married Nancy Jane Hazelwood. Their son Major Thompson Ball married Virginia Lee Baker. his mother's side. Her parents were Sheridan Riddle and Fannie Gadd. They lived in Fairview, Ky. Fannie died in 1953. Sheidan died in the early 1970's. |

My grandfather was MILTON CLARENCE ANDREWS SR. His father was MYRON STANELY ANDREWS. Myron had a brother CHARLIE MCCARTY and a step-brother JIMMY MCCARTY. Myron's name was MCCARTY too. When Myron married CLARA WILHIMENA LUDEMAN, he asked her which last name she wanted to be married as, ANDREWS or MCCARTY. She settled for ANDREWS because that was what she knew Myron as. When Myron died, Charlie came and told Clara that Myron had a step-brother named Jimmy.Clara never knew the secret either. Myron was born in DIAMONDALE, MICHIGAN. |

My Melting Pot
My father's lines primarily came to Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland. They migrated through Virginia, North Carolina and finally settled in Northern Georgia. My mother's lines settled in Virginia on the Eastern Shore. Some migrated further in to Virginia, settling in Charlotte and Pittsylvania Counties. Foster Eddings was born abt. 1844. Ebbie Ware was born 1869 in Lebanon, TN. Father Ransom Ware. Foster and Ebba was married around 1891 in Lebanon, TN. They migrated to Texas around 1896 or 1897. Foster had several wives before he married my ggrandmother Ebbie. On the 1870 census there was a child named Foster Eddins in Wharton Co. TX. Home Page of the Adair Family
The Lee, Peddicord, Eustace, and Davenport families all at some time lived in Virginia. The Lee's are supposed to be descended from Col. Richard Lee. The Wells and Plemmons Families lived mostly in North Carolina. I have a book about the Plemmons family that says they are descended from a man named Jacob Plehman who came to america from Ireland in 1749. The problem is I am not sure I am related to this branch of the family so any information would be helpful. The Adair and Hewes lived in West Virginia and Maryland. |
