Nellie (VAN EVERY - EIGHMEY), CEASE, PETERSON, BOLL. She was the illegitimate child of Adella (WRIGHT) SHELTERS, TAFT, born in Jamestown, NY, on May 01, 1876. After Nellie's birth, she was given to Adella's older sister and her husband to raise. Lucy R.(WRIGHT) and Peter EIGHMEY. In March of 1898, seven months pregnant, Nellie marries Adelbert CEASE. She was 21, he was 46. Two months after they married, their first child was born. Six months after that, a second child was born...only to live for 2 days. In September of 1901, Nellie gave birth to a daughter. Shortly after the birth of their daughter, Nellie was sent to either a prison, or an asylum, for a period of 12 years.
