Description: My great grandmother's birthname was Emma Mary Zollman or Mary Emma Zolman, has been written both ways. She first appears on a census record for Saline Co., St. Genevieve, MO as 1 yr. old stepdaughter of William M. Arney on an 1880 census. She is listed as the youngest of three sisters (step children to Mr. Arney and his wife Mary Ann) On my Gr. Grandmother's obit Mary Ann is listed as her mother with maden name of Mason. I am trying to find birth father and or family of Emma and sisters Rachel and Sarah born 1876, 1878 and Emma 1879. I cannot find a trace and have been looking for months. As an older child she lived in an orphanage and took the name Arney as her maiden name. I cannot find anything on her older sisters other than this record. She had three older step brothers also listed on the census. Cary, William and Ira Arney. She married my Gr. Grandfather Emmitt Heberlie and lived around St. Gen. and St. Francois Co., MO all her life. Nobody in my family new of her original birth name. This is a huge mystery and would like to find my Zolman roots. My Grandmother, her daughter was Clara Mae Patt nee Heberlie. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
