Frank, Jr. and Marie KAUER (b. 1874 in Tuschkov, Bohemia of Wenzel (Jim) KAUER and Katherine LEBERZAHN) married in Hamborn-Duisburg, Germany. Their children: 1. Herman (b. 1906 in Hamborn Germany) 2. Ann (Annedle) Peyton (b. 1911 in Hamborn Germany) Frank, Jr. family emigrated to the Ohio in the U.S. in 1912/1913. Herman and Mildred Dale married in Tiffin, OH Their children: 1. Ronald Baxa 2. Virginia Baxa Kyler 3. Larry Baxa I am particularly interested in tracing Alois. He is reported to have emigrated to France, but later returned to The Czech Republic. Their children: 1. The Baugh Family In Georgia
Reuben BAUGH was born in Virginia in 1804. He was living in Tennessee when his wife died leaving him with two little girls. Reuben built a raft and traveled on the Tennessee River to Guntersville, Alabama. From the 1850 Marshall County, Alabama Census, Reuben was a carpenter, age 46, married to Elizabeth, age 49. Living in his household were: Sarah age 17, Elizabeth age 15, Susan age 15, Nancy A. age 10, Luentia ?, age 8, Susan V. age 3/12 On the 1860 Guntersville, Alabama Census Reuben BAUGH is listed as Carpenter age 56, his wife Elizabeth, age 58. Living in his household were: Sarah R. born in Tennessee, age 29, Elizabeth A. born in Tennessee age 20, Lucenda ? age 16, Susan age 10, Terry age 8, William age 5, James age 6, Samuel age 1, Rodchester ? age 2 On the 1870 Guntersville, Alabama Census, Reuben BAUGH is 65 years old. Elizabeth is not on census, she had probably died. Living in his household were: Sarah age 45, James R. age 16, William age 14, Samuel age 12, Charles age 9, Mary C. age 6, Silas age 9, Thomas age 6, My great-grandfather Thomas Baugh married to Melinda (Linda) Windsor in Marshall County, Alabama on October 04, 1883. It has been reported, that Linda was a Cherokee Indian. After Linda's death, Abt 1890, Thomas married Frances (Fannie) Lugenia Holbrooks, in Marshall County, Alabama on March 08, 1894. Fannie is believed to have been widowed by a PACE before her marriage to Thomas Baugh. The family moved to Cobb, County, Georgia between 1906 and 1910. The Thomas R. Baugh family is listed on the Cobb, County 1910 Census. On the 1910 Census states they had 9 children with 8 now living. Delas Herbert and Virgle Newton Baugh died in 1913 and 1914 in Newnan, Georgia. After the death of Fannie on May 22, 1930; Thomas went to stay with his step-daughter or daughter-in-law, Alice McHand at 454 Formwalt Street in Atlanta, Georgia. Thomas died nine days after Fannie's death on May 31, 1930 Thomas is listed as a mill worker on his Death Certificate. Probably worked at Fulton Bag Mill in Atlanta around 1920. He is buried beside his wife Fannie in the East Griffin Cemetery, just off of the Highfalls Road in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia. The Descendants of Thomas R. Baugh. Thomas R. Baugh was born October 10, 1863, in Marshall County, Alabama, and died May 31, 1930, in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. He married Melinda Catherine (Kate) Windsor on October 04, 1883, in Marshall County, Alabama. Kate is reported to have been a full blooded Cherokee Indian. Thomas had three children from his marriage to Kate Windsor. |
