Description: I am trying to find the name of Newton S. Singleton's mom. His father was Willis Singleton, and I have reason to believe his mother may have been a sister to Andrew Coon Ferguson, but cannot prove it as yet. Newton was born in TN, probably Knox County. His family then moved to Illinois and settled first in Jefferson County, and later in Washington County. Newton had brothers named Benjamin, Lewis, Willis D., James and Richard. His sisters were Tabitha and Mary J. (both of whom appear to have married into the Trout family. If anyone has any information or even photos, I would love to share what I have with you in return.
