George DeWitt STONER's father, John Jacob STONER was born in Chautauqua Co. N.Y. 1850 and moved to Grand Haven, Michigan. Charles DeWitt STONER's mother was Pearl VAN SWEARINGEN. She was born in Polo, Ogle Co. Illinois. 1872. Her father was Thomas VAN SWEARINGEN, born 1841 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Her mother was Josephine SHORT, daughter of John SHORT. She was born in Bloomington, Illinois. The VAN SWEARINGENS and the STONERS moved to Florida around 1915, I think.
