my great-grandparents WILLIAM McALLISTERand ELIZABETH BRUCE McALLISTER. William came to America about 1870 with his 3 or 4 brothers from Belfast but were originally from Scotland. Williams parents were Robert McAllister and Margaret Hammond, and I believe he was born in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland. William lived in Mechanicville NY and had three sons, William, Richard and Samuel--my grandfater b. 1888 in Mechanicville. Elizabeth ran a bording house.
