the Cadeau family migrated from the Sault Ste. Marie area, either from Drummond Island after the War of 1812-15 or from another area in that vicinity. Peter (Pierre) married Josephte (Josette) Duhaime around 1855-57, we believe in the vicinity of Sault Ste. Marie. The Bazinets are believed to have come from Quebec. Damase Bazinet is said to have come from the Ste. Emilie de l'Energie area of the province of Quebec, Canada. He married Victoire Dubeau in the mid 1800s. I believe that this marriage could have taken place near Ste. Emilie, as their first child seems to have been born in the province of Quebec. I believe that the Dubeau and Quesnelle families also originally came from Quebec. I believe that they migrated to Ontario in the early to mid 1800s and took up residence around the Penetanguishene area near Georgian Bay. |

Donald Richard Dick Baldwin JEDUTHAN GREEN BALDWIN was born January 21, 1813 in Vermont. His parents were also born in Vermont. He married LUCINDA WILBUR (assumedly in New York). She was born about 1816 in New York; her parents were born in Massachusetts. Jeduthan and Lucinda had five children: HESTER, MARY, MARTIN, LEVERETT and LEWIS. His family complete, Jeduthan moved them first to Greenlake, Wisconsin and then to Lewiston, Minnesota (then known as New Boston). He was the first medical man to live in Lewiston and also had the first pharmacy in that town. There he was known as DR. J. G. BALDWIN. Lucinda died November 17, 1887 and Jeduthan died January 18, 1900. |

Martin Mellinger returned to Liditz, PA in 1863 after his medical discharge from the Army in Ohio. By 1865 Martin is in Stephenson Co, Illinois and marries Anna Sellers, also of PA. They have three daughter together, Mary, Sarah, and Emma Elizabeth. Emma and Sarah list Princeton Indiana as their place of birth. Sometime after Emma's birth in 1873, Martin and Anna divorced. The Jarcho-Yarcha-Turoff-Turow-Bermant families from Slutsk
The origins of this family start in Ancient Judea and stretch to Medieval Spain and Southern France and the town of Lunel where the Ha-Yarchi families lived until late 1300's- early 1400's. The family then moved North and East into the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in what became the province of Minsk Gubernia in present day Belarus. The tows of Baranovitch, Slutsk ,Turov and Kletsk and the surrounding towns were where they lived during the 1700's and 1800's. The earliest named ancestor was Zimel Yarcha(1750-1800). His descendents spread to other areas of Russia such as Pinsk, Minsk, Yekatrinoslav and Yousovka before leaving for Israel,England,Belgium,Argentina and most to the USA. Yesterdays Children
My research goes back to Lemkovyna in the Carpathan Mountains, particularly in what is now Southeastern Poland. The villages of my ancestors are primarily Pielgrzymka ( Peregrymka ) , Klopotnica and Wola Cieklinska. |

Janna L Babcock - InterneTree my father's family, the Martins were from Lewiston, Maine. His mother's maiden name was Dulac. Her mother's maiden name was Arnoldy. Their families came from France to Quebec and Acadia in the 1600's and 1700's. my mother's family, surname Kvernvik. They came from Norway in 1906. Her mother came from Norway around that time also, my grandmother's surname was Mathisen. My husband's family is also from Maine. The Babcock's settled in Bangor. His paternal great grandmother was a decendent of Abraham Somes who settled in Somesville on Mt. Desert Island, Maine, in the late 1700's. My husband's mother's family, the Ernst's came from Brooklyn, New York, and Switzerland.
