My great grandfather, Hinrich Cyriacks, upon immigrating to Wisconsin from the Bremen area of Germany in the 1870s allowed his name to be spelled Ciriacks, thus beginning the largest extant branch of the family going back to the 3rd century A.D. He has more than 400 descendents.
