The Craine & Mylecharane Memory Pages
My Gr.Gr.Gr. Grandfather Thomas Mylecharane was born in Jurby on October 13, 1799. He and his wife Jane Caley had 9 children on the Isle before coming to the US and settling in Chicasaw County, Iowa. He was the 7th child of Philip Mylecharane and Ann Quayle. The name changed to Craine on arriving in US. Richardson (Scotland & possibly the Isle of Man) my grandmother's family, Grider & Pince. The Grider family from Wisconsin, Minnesota and possibly Missouri. Jan Pince family 1842 from Tuchonic Bohemia, Immigrated late 1800's to Iowa and later moved to Minnesota. Opay (Opalewski), Berg & Aune from Nord Trondheim Norway settled in Traill County, North Dakota approx. 1877. Andrew & Anne Swanson who immigrated to Anoka County, MN in 1882 from Sweden.
