Ezekiel Williams was the first white man in Benton Co. Mo. But didn?t make it his home until the spring of 1831. The Welch, English, German, and Irish. Zeke Williams had built a Trading Post, and a home on the Osage River in 1831.In1839 he moved his Trading Post, and Post Office off the Osage, four miles, to a small settlement and named the town Cole Camp. |

Then to George's children Thomas, William, George II, James, Peggy Adams Wisner, and Francis Adams all of NC I beleive. Then to their children and my direct line which is Thomas Adams who married Ann Vaughn. Their children were Sally Adams Taylor, Ann Adams Hobbs, James, Nancy Adams Waters, Daniel, David, and George III.\r\nMy direct line from the second generation is from David Adams who married Vicie Haynes and later Betsey Fielder. David and Vicie's children were James A., Silvester, John Quincy, Joseph, Reuben, Elisha, Betty Elizabeth Adams Martin, Mary Ann Adams Price, Isibilla Adams Price, and Nancy B. Adams Adams all of AL. the children of David and Betsey's children were Henry Jackson, Larly Sallie Adams Franks, David, Tennessee 'Tenny' Adams Bettis, and Daniel Charles Adams all of AL. From Alabama they migrated to Davidson and Hardin Co., TN via the Natchez Trace and from TN they came to AR where my direct line stops. |
