Lyric And Randall Apted's Family Genealogy Home Page
the Apted/Rohlman history as well as the Balsley/Carcelli families. The Apted family I am descended of has been traced back to James Apted, in Surrey England,in about 1821. James' son Henry was thought to have come to the US through Canada. Henry moved to Canada in about 1870, and into the U.S. at about the turn of the century. The Apted family then settled in the Pacific Northwest. John Carcelli, an Italian native, moved to America from France about 30 years after the Apteds arrived in Canada. In about 1900 the Carcelli family entered America. John Carcelli's family originaly came from Parma, Berceto, Italy. John's son Victor later went on to marry Iole Barni. The Barni's also came from Tuscany. Iole's Father Giuseppi was born in Pistoia, Likewise, Iole's mother Angelina Flori and her family also came from Pistoia Italy. Report: Report |
The Andriani Of Castellana Grotte, Province Of Bari, Italy
ITALY: From Greece (Crete?)the Andriani migrated to Italy, possibly through the former Greek port of Brindisi, a city state of Greece. From there the family branched out in many directions. In Italy, there are Andrianis in the former Kingom of the Two Sicilies to include Bari, Naples[Andriani Bishop of Naples, 1770s] as well as Northern Italy to include Lucca and Venice. SPAIN: There is also an Andriani Branch in Spain which has produced General Field Marshals (Luis Maria Andriani, 1830}and Archbishops of Pamplona (Severo Andriani). The current Spanish Andriani live in Madrid, Spain. The last Luis Maria died in the 1990s. He is survived by his wife and children, the son being named Bertrand. AUSTRIA(Holy Roman Empire): The Holy Roman Empire has listed one Baron Peter Paul von Andriani (1770s). He was later elevated in the titled nobility to the rank of Count of the Holy Roman Empire. I have no further details on this individual. USA/ARGENTINA: My immediate branch arrived in America in 1890 with Michele Andriani (spelled Andriany here in the USA among one branch of the family). He was born in Castellana Grotte, Province of Bari, in April 1869. Michele's parents were Vito Nicolas Andriani (known also as Nicolas)and Rosa BulzacMichael Robert Andriani |
