I am married to John Matthew Banks, who is the son of Debra Diane Joiner of Eagletown, Oklahoma. Her father is Kenneth Bo Joiner who was born to Josie Horn Joiner. Josie was married to Oscar Cecil Joiner. Josie Joiner's mother's name was Ida Buchanan. They lived in Spencerville, Oklahoma. She was married to a man by the last name of Horn. Oscar Cecil Joiner had a brother named Charlie Joiner that was buried in North Ben Cemetary in Washington State. In addition, I'm researching the Roan family. Eugene Monroe Roan was my paternal grandfather. |

He married Mary Ann Midgley b.July 6, 1846 in Paris. Both lived in or near Paris, Ontario. She died March 24, 1882. He died December 25, 1912 in Chatham, Ont. His father was Henry Ball - wife Elizabeth Small. I have traced them to Lambourne Berkshire England. His father was Robert, mother Sarah. Donald Richard Dick Baldwin JEDUTHAN GREEN BALDWIN was born January 21, 1813 in Vermont. His parents were also born in Vermont. He married LUCINDA WILBUR (assumedly in New York). She was born about 1816 in New York; her parents were born in Massachusetts. Jeduthan and Lucinda had five children: HESTER, MARY, MARTIN, LEVERETT and LEWIS. His family complete, Jeduthan moved them first to Greenlake, Wisconsin and then to Lewiston, Minnesota (then known as New Boston). He was the first medical man to live in Lewiston and also had the first pharmacy in that town. There he was known as DR. J. G. BALDWIN. Lucinda died November 17, 1887 and Jeduthan died January 18, 1900. |

Avent Family of Virginia and North Carolina
Col. Thomas Avent emigrated to VA around 1701. It is believed that he emigrated from Devonshire, on the southern coast of England. His grandsons, John and Joseph Avent moved to Chatham Co., NC around 1775, founding a settlement called Avent's Ferry, named for a ferry across the Cape Fear river which was run by the Avents until the 1920's.
