Mikey Whitmore
Description: I am looking for information on my grandfather, Leslie Charles Armstrong, born December, 1884 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and marrie to Ethel Cross of Somerset, UK, and then to Hortense of Illinois (maiden name unknown)He resided in Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA with Ethel and then moved to Los Angeles, CA where he resided with Hortense. He had my father in 1913 with Ethel and another son Robert in 1919 of 1920 with Hortense. He disappears after the 1920 census although I can find Ethel and Hortense and their sons. While married to Ethel, he served in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Forces in WWI, where supposedly, he was wounded. I have been told he worked with the Matson Steamship line serving as a steward on the Luriline. Supposedly, he also played the clarinet.
