They had five children. Three of the children are: Melissa Ann (b.1873) Thomas Jefferson (b.1878) and Rose Mary (B.1879). In 1892, Elizabeth and the five children left Kentucky by wagon train heading for Waxahatchee, Texas. On the trail two of the children died. She settled in Palmer, Texas with the three remaining children, joined a Baptist church there. Melissa married James Frances Smith and moved to Oklahoma. Rose married Eli Hobson Whitley. Thomas (my grandfather) married Hattie Elizabeth Stewart and settled near Waxahatchee, Texas.
