The BEASTON's of Illinois
The BEASTON family moved to Illinois in the 1830's, originating in Delaware and moving to Pennsylvania around 1817. It is believed that the immigrant came from England in the early 1700's or late 1600's. The Tree traces back to Mesier BEASTON of Duck Creek Cross Roads, Delaware where he operated a family business as a saddle tree maker. Upon his death around 1802, he left his oldest son Thomas, married at the time, with the charge of raising his two youngest sons John and Daniel. They moved to Pennsylvania with Thomas and married in that state. Thomas had two sons named Lewis and John D., and a daughter Elizabeth. The three of them moved west to Illinois in the 1830's where John remained until his death. Lewis and his family moved westward in 1860's to Southwest Iowa where he is buried in Freemont County.
