Charles T. Beaird
On my father's side, I go back to Edmund Beaird as my progenitor. He was born in Mecklinburg Co.,NC in 1761 and died in Autuaga Co., GA; in 1851. He was married to Sarah Walding Giles and they had 7 children. He seems to be the first of my line to spell the name BEAIRD. His precursors generally used the spelling Beard or Baird. His family moved from NC to Bibb Co.,AL and then to LA and TX. On my mother's side,I have much less information but can go back to Moses Fort who was born on March 17, 1782 and died on December 8, 1845.

William Alfred and Sarah Gertrude Beaird
William Alfred Beaird was born July 21, 1880 and I believe in Mallikoff, Texas. William's father was Benjamin Franklin Beaird. His mother's maiden name was Wright. I believe they had 3 boys, William, John, and George as to the oldest I am not sure. Sarah Gertrude Banks (known as Gertrude) was born December 21, 1874 I believe somewhere in Georgia. My grandmother had a maiden sister Mary Elizabeth Banks (known as Lizzy), she also had 2 brothers called Bud and Babe their legal names are not known to me. my grandparents had 8 children. Lillie, William (Rufus), James (Rex), J.B.(my father), Ruby, Cecil, twins Ella (Faye) and Elzie (Bud). Only Bud (Elzie) is still alive and he resides in Corsicana. The Beaird family pretty much stayed in the Corsicana, Blooming Grove area. A number of the Beaird's still reside in the Corsicana area. My grandfather passed away March 27, 1926 in Mallikoff, TX and is also buried in Mallikoff, my grandmother passed away September 20, 1958 in Corsicana, TX and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetary in Corsicana. The address where my grandmother and my Aunt Faye lived was 602 No. 14th St., Corsicana. I was told the Banks part of our family traveled by covered wagon from GA to TX. Someone mentioned we were plantation owners in GA. I was also told we had a judge in the Beaird family. InterneTree: Brenda K Beaird dupre

ADAMS ADAIR CHAMBERS SHAIFFER RHINEHART WALLACE GENEALOGY
All of the names I am researching lived at one time in North Louisiana. Most of them originated in Catahoula Parish. Some migrated to Shreveport and others to Arkansas. Others stayed in the Central Louisiana area. The Chambers lived in Marthaville, Natchitoches Parish, then moved to East Texas, Shreveport, and southern Arkansas. I am looking for the Shaiffers. They seemed to disappear into thin air after leaving Catahoula Parish. Some of the Adairs moved to the Shreveport-Bossier area. \r\nPartriarch Joseph Adair settled in East Carroll Parish where Joe's Bayou flowed into Bayou Macon. At one time, Joseph also lived in Concordia Parish. His children were John, David, Martha, Sidney, Sarah, and a daughter who was suspected to have been kidnapped by Indians when an infant. She was the first born. \r\nJohn's children were Johnathan Marion, Mary Malinda, James, Richard Harding, Thomas, and William.\r\nJohnathan's children were Martha Euretta, Marshall Newman, Richard Randolph, Johnathan F., and Mary Malinda.\r\nMartha Euretta m. Jason Mahoney Wallace. They were my maternal grandparents. They lived in Shreveport, Louisiana. Their descentants are still living and shall not be mentioned here.\r\n\r\nDave Barry and Nancy Raines Chambers lived iRobert Adams
ANCESTORS OF ANNE SHELLABARGER ABBOTT
Presently I am researching my maternal ancestors: the Beairds of MO and formerly KY, the Austin Dunlap family of OK, IA and NY, and the Betsingers of NY. I have enjoyed writing up biographies of our various ancestral lines for our five children, and have given them booklets on the Beairds, Thatchers, and Shellabargers, as well as my husband's and my autobiographies.\r\n\r\n
