Camille and Nora Arnaud from Borgone Susa, It. (PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS SAVOY, FR.) Venanzio Arnaut and wife Elvira Falco Arnaut who settled in the Youngstown, Ohio area in about 1916. They came from Borgone, It. into Ellis Island in 1906 with 2 of their children..Leo and Josephine, then went to live in Pa. near Johnstown. Other children were Lucinda, Joseph, and John. Elvira Falco Arnaut was born in Marseilles, Fr. It is thought that both Ven and Elvira had siblings. Ven is believed to have to brothers that remained in Borgone. It is believed their names were Umberto and Delfino. Delfino was a chief at a factory in Borgone. They had many daughters that moved to nearby towns. They were named Guiseppina, Angela, and Norina. A son Joseph was also named.Some relatives are said to still be living in Condove which is due East of Borgone. Michael DeMicco and his wife Sarah Ambrosana DeMicco from Barra, It. It is a suburb of Naples. Their son Luigi ventured to the US in 1906. He met Magdalena Errico and married her shortly after her arrival in the US in 1921. They lived in New Kensington, Pa. Later, they moved with their family to Farrell, Pa. Their children were named Lucy, Louis, Mary, Antoinette, Georgianne, Michael, Carl, and John. The last name spelling changed to Demico.Magdalena's parents were named Michael Errico and Maria Zito Errico from Salerno, Italy. |
