All I know about the Slovenian family Rappl is, that my great-grandfather Anton Rappl came to Slovenia from Wien (Austria) in the time of Austria-Hungarian existence. The farthest back I can go is to a David Rappleyea b.1793 in New York. Married Effie VanSlyke. Lived in Erie County. Once owned land in Amherst. One of his sons was Isaac Rappleyea b. 1820 Tonawanda.
