Origin of Ako, Meaning of Ako
Origin: The Konkel surname is found in various parts of West Prussia (Westpreussen), it is a Germanicized form of the Polish or Slavic name 'Kakol' which is the Polish word for weed. The name was found commonly around Danzig, and most of those individuals were Roman Catholic. My family lived since the 18th century in Kreis Rosenberg, West Prussia (later East Prussia), and were Evangelical Lutherans.
