Karoline "Lena" Dehne/Dahna
Description: My maternal ggmother was b in Germany perhaps in Hattendorf in July, 1865. Parents are unknown. Had several siblings who also came to America in 1860-1880s to Will Co IL and to Cedar Bluffs, Saunders Co., Nebraska and into Fillmore Co., NE. She was m at least twice with children from each marriage. 1. Jakob/Jacob/Jake von Krug from dessen, Prussia b July, 1848/1849 m about 1882 in Germany. 4 daughters , 1 son born: a. Emma Kate Krug (my gm) b 10 Jan 1883 b. Caroline " Lena" b 10 Sept 1884 c. William Krug b 1885 d. Anna Emelia b in June 1887 e. Ida Emilie Sophia Krug b 14 June 1889 All these c were b in Cedar Bluffs, Saunders Co., NE. Other c born: Bertha Krug & twin brother, Henry Fred Krug on 31 Aug 1891-not sure where. Husband #2 was Henry William Gloke on 24 Dec 1895 in West Point, Cuming Co NE 2 sons born: Otto C Gloke in April 1896 Edward Gloke 19 January 1898 --both sons b near West Point, Cuming Co NE. Karoline d 12 May 1900 in Crowell, Dodge Co NE Funeral held in German Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Point and she was buried in unmarked grave at Mt Hope Cemetery near West Point, NE. Children Henry, Otto, William, Bertha and Edward were put up for adoption. At present, I don't know what families adopted Bertha or William. William was m to a Theresa and was found on a land record in SD in 1906.
Karoline had these siblings: Sophia, 2 more sisters, & brothers Will (William), Henry, Carl and another brother-all living in Iowa. Will lived in Estherville, Emmet Co., Iowa area. Sister Louisa married Jacob Krug's brother George. They were m in IL. Came to Saunders Co about 1880-1882. They bought land here. In 1882 or 1883 their siblings bought the land from them--Karoline & Jacob Krug. I would like to share information with those who are researching this family. Please email me with information.

Description: Looking for more information on Albert Battistone. Below is information that I believe to be true. Trying to find closure for his biological son, which he never knew, Floyd Anthony (born 2/15/1935).
Albert Battistone was born 2/4/10 in Ohio and died 6/8/88 in Riverside CA. Addresses: 3950 Widworth Ave. Dearborn MI 65 Beverly Drive, Banning, California 70 Cottage Grove, Highland Park. His father lived at 5819 Appoline Dearborn MI. He had a brother who was a teacher in Dearborn MI. In 1930: Albert D. Battistone, who was born in Ohio, was 19, single, a lodger in Highland Park MI, an assembler at an auto body factory with an annual salary of $7700, His mom and dad were both from Italy. When he entered the army in 1944, he was married and a crane/hoist/power shovel operator. He is buried at the Riverside National Cemetary, Riverside County, California.

Description: Looking for information on Helen Dombrowski who was a maid in 1926 in Ardsley New York until stock market crash 1929. Her name also may have been Hubbert. She also lived at Edgartown Mass. in 1926-1927. Her parents were Bernard and Mary Dombrowski. She had siblings named Marie, Gertrude, Ben, John, Arthur, Mary and Helen worked for people named Ewart as maids. They were on 1930 census with Ewarts.
