Samuel TRUSCOTT - b.1606 Samuel RAIL - b. 1782 Robert BALL - b. 1771 George Lewis Truscott and his wife Hannah Hendy Rail and their family came to Canada as Barr Colonists in 1903. my grandfather William Ball b.July 15, 1835 in Paris, Ont. He married Mary Ann Midgley b.July 6, 1846 in Paris. Both lived in or near Paris, Ontario. She died March 24, 1882. He died December 25, 1912 in Chatham, Ont. His father was Henry Ball - wife Elizabeth Small. I have traced them to Lambourne Berkshire England. His father was Robert, mother Sarah. These names have ties to the southern region of Basilcata, Italy. The Province of Matera. The comunes that are being researched are: Grassano, Garaguso. The Aspero name came to the US in 1892 and settled in the Camden area of New Jersey. Then generated from there to Pennsylvania, Ohio, New England and elsewhere. My grandfather, Nicola Vito Aspero was the first Aspero to the U.S. He married Rose McCue and they had three sons, Michael Angelo, Dominic Anthony and Vincent James. William T. ASHFORD (presumed to be English).he married Emma August REEVES October 6, 1879 in Coahama, Mississippi. My Grandfather John T. Ashford, Sr. was one of 4 children who survived:William, David, George and John. William T. Ashford was married previously to (?) the children were Mary and Joseph. We know that Mary Ashford Alley sued the estate in 1920 for her share of property in Mississippi which I know was held by family members at least until my father's death in 1988. George, John, & Willie migrated to Texas. Joseph, we are told, became a doctor in Witchita Falls, Texas. John T. Ashford, Sr. was a haberdasher in Dallas in 1922. Dudley FORD m. Vianna BASKETT, daughter Leila was born in 1898 - Graham, Texas was where the family ran a rooming house. Susan BRITTAIN Redus Watkins (b. July 24, 1825), daughter Katherine Redus(b. Feb.25, 1849) We do not know the name of Susan's first spouse (REDUS) or dates of marriage. Her second marriage was to George WATKINS. Indiana. Italian side of the family: PANATTONI (ALTO PASA, north Italy) SAINATI or SINATI (Espianate, north Italy) Giovanni Panattoni and Annetta Sainati married in 1919 in Italy. Giovanni emigrated to USA in 1906, came to Seattle, Wa. for AYP in 1909. |
