Aicher born 1/12/1911 and Vernon L. Aicher born 9/29/1914) to Francis Leo Aicher and Lydia I. Aicher. My grandfather was born in Canada (I believe Alberta) as were his two brothers. My great grandfather Francis was born in Iowa sometime in 1882, both parents were from Germany. Francis Aicher's parents came to the US the name was changed from Eicher to today's spelling of Aicher. The majority of the Aicher family remained in Iowa, however my great grandfather moved to Canada, went back to Iowa, back to Canada and finally to the Detroit area in the late 20's early 30's. I understand that in Canada my great grandfather opened up a Hotel, Bar and Jewelry store that may still exist to this day.
