Karoline "Lena" Dehne/Dahna
Description: My maternal ggmother was b in Germany perhaps in Hattendorf in July, 1865. Parents are unknown. Had several siblings who also came to America in 1860-1880s to Will Co IL and to Cedar Bluffs, Saunders Co., Nebraska and into Fillmore Co., NE.
She was m at least twice with children from each marriage.
1. Jakob/Jacob/Jake von Krug from dessen, Prussia b July, 1848/1849
m about 1882 in Germany. 4 daughters , 1 son born:
a. Emma Kate Krug (my gm) b 10 Jan 1883
b. Caroline " Lena" b 10 Sept 1884
c. William Krug b 1885
d. Anna Emelia b in June 1887
e. Ida Emilie Sophia Krug b 14 June 1889
All these c were b in Cedar Bluffs, Saunders Co., NE.
Other c born: Bertha Krug & twin brother, Henry Fred Krug on 31 Aug 1891-not sure where.
Husband #2 was Henry William Gloke on 24 Dec 1895 in West Point, Cuming Co NE
2 sons born: Otto C Gloke in April 1896
Edward Gloke 19 January 1898 --both sons b near West Point, Cuming Co NE.
Karoline d 12 May 1900 in Crowell, Dodge Co NE Funeral held in German Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Point and she was buried in unmarked grave at Mt Hope Cemetery near West Point, NE. Children Henry, Otto, William, Bertha and Edward were put up for adoption.
At present, I don't know what families adopted Bertha or William. William was m to a Theresa and was found on a land record in SD in 1906.

Karoline had these siblings: Sophia, 2 more sisters, & brothers Will (William), Henry, Carl and another brother-all living in Iowa. Will lived in Estherville, Emmet Co., Iowa area.
Sister Louisa married Jacob Krug's brother George. They were m in IL. Came to Saunders Co about 1880-1882. They bought land here. In 1882 or 1883 their siblings bought the land from them--Karoline & Jacob Krug.

Robert and Henry came to Canada from Ireland about 1837-1846. Not sure if they came through the U.S. or went directly to Ontario Canada.

Older Brother: Henry Parsons: Born in Ireland in about 1812 was married to Elizabeth Hanbury; they had 4 children

Henry and Elizabeth lived in Toronto CA and are burried in the Toronto, CA.

Robert Parsons: born in Meath County, Trim, Ireland about 1817 - had 4 wives.

1. wife #1 probably came with him from Ireland, they had one son, Thomas born abt 1846in Ontario, he is in the 1871 census with his Father and step family in District, N. Norfork, Simcoe, Ontario CA


2. Robert married in Feb 1851 Wife #2: Margaret Fee, b. abt 1831 in CA, According to 1851 census (Canada West, Wellington Ct., Garafraxa Township) Margaret died in childbirth in 1851.

3. Margaret Morris was wife #3; b. abt 1841 Scotland married Robert abt 1859, had 3 sons:

1. Joseph b. 1860 in Ontario, CA

2. Gabriel b. 1862 in Ontario, CA, married Jennie A. Loveridge, 8 Nov 1886 in Monroe, MI

3. Ashley b. 1868 in Ontario, CA, married Agnes Willets on 12 Jun 1890 in Grand Traverse, MI. Their children: Maybelle Parsons Rahn, Beryl Parsons Gunnett and Harold F. Parsons

All three Joseph, Gabriel and Ashley are in the 1871 census (North Norfolk, Town of Simcoe) and the 1880 Census in Monroe County, MI in the town of Maybee. Ashley is in the 1910, 1920, 1930 Cleveland Ohio Census.

4. Mary Moore was Robert's 4th wife. She was b. 24 May 1843, Ontario CA., married Robert on 27 Nov. 1872 in Brantford, Ont. CA.

Robert and Mary Moore's Children:

1. Ella Maud Parsons b.18 Jan 1874 in Flat Rock, MI. d.20 Dec. 1928 in Flat Rock, MI., mar. - Bryon Wentworth Holt.

2. Edna Earl Parsons: b.28 Oct 1878 in Flat Rock, MI. d.11 Nov. 1948 in Flat Rock. MI. Unmarried.

4. Rev Dr. St Clare Parsons b.4 May 1880. d. 1 May 1966 in Atlanta, GA. married - Mary Barningham.

Robert and Mary's marriage records listed Robert as 42, widower, clergyman, b. Meath Ireland, living Flatrock MI, son of John and Sarah. Mary, 28, b. Brantford, CA, daughter of Alexander and Mary.

They are burried in Riverside Cemetery in South Rockwood Michigan.
Seeking any information of this family, especially information that leads back to John and Sarah Parsons in Ireland and Alexander and Mary Moore in Ireland.
