Linda Alita Hamilton Hickey
Description: I am trying to find out about my ancestory. I have very little to go on. My information starts with William A. Fowler married to Nancy Anne (do not know her maiden name). William was supposedly born in 1857 and Nancy in 1859. They are the father and mother of my grandmother on my father's side. Then I have Sylvester George Hamilton married to Minnie (no maiden name known) on my father's side. My grandfather on my father's side was David Cullen Hamilton, Sr. who died approximately in 1954 and grandmother on my father's side's name was Ola Fowler Hamilton (do not know when she died but I think it was sometime after 1973). My father's name was David Cullen Hamilton, Jr. and my mother's name was Wanda Mae Freet Hamilton. My father died May 15, 1990 and my mother died in March 1966. I do not know my mother's father's name but her mother's name was Solona Adeline Badger. My father said we had Cherokee Indian, Irish, English and possibly French on his side. My grandmother on my mother's side said she was born on a reservation in South Dakota and left there at the age of 14 years. She said my great grandmother on her side was a full blood Souix Indian and her father was Irish. I would appreciate anyone who could help me add to this information to e-mail me. Also, my father was raised in Carbon Hill, Alabama and his uncle on his mother's side had the only large store in that small city.

Description: I entered a listing earlier and forgot to add a few things. The marriage of David Cullen Hamilton, Sr. and Ola Fowler Hamilton produced David Cullen Hamilton, Jr., Lorene Hamilton, Anne Hamilton, Louise Hamilton, Albert Maldon Hamilton, Sylvester George ( S.G.) Hamilton, Ola Hamilton and Patricia Hamilton. Lorene Hamilton married Erskin Sanford of Key Camp, Parrish, AL and had six children by him. She then married a man with the last name of English and had a set of twins. She is still alive. S. G. Hamilton married a woman named Geneva (no maiden name known) and the had two children, Rita and Mary Ann. He is still alive. Albert Maldon married and produced two children, one named Mike and I cannot recall the name of the other one. His wife's first name was Daisy. He and she are both deceased. Patricia married a man named Buford Long. I believe they had two children. I think she is still alive. I know Louise had a son named Carl Morris and one named Gary Hamilton (called himself Track McCloud). Carl was in prison at one time but when he got out I heard he married and had a couple of children. I do not know who Ola or Anne married nor how many children they had.
Solona Badger, my grandmother on my mother's side had a child on the reservation, who died at the age of 21 in a TB Sanitarium, had twins boys who died at the age of two, had my mother and then had a son named Pat. I do not know what last name Pat had but it was not the same as my mother. I do not know if he is alive or dead. The last time he was heard of was in 1953. Solona was married to a man with the last name Waggoner, who I don't know when he died, but she was using his name when she died in approximately 1987. She was 82 when she died.

Description: I needed to add a few more items. I was told that my grandfather, David Cullen Hamilton, Sr. was a member of the KKK in Carbon Hill, Alabama and that his father was a preacher at a Hard Shell Baptish Church. I do not know if this is authentic information or not.
My grandmother on my mother's side, Solona Badger served six months in the Army. She lived in Wisconsin, South Dakota, Missouri and Alabama. Also, she was married three or four times before marrying the man with the last name Waggoner.
