Aderholts in West Virginia
My Grandfather was Millard Aderholt, and his Grandfather was 'Cal' (?) Aderholt who had 24 kids in Alabama. (2 wives, 12 each).\r\n\r\nMy dad was born in Alabama (near Anniston?) and when he was only 5 they moved to West Virginia, and then Pittsburgh. My dad, Danny Aderholt, then moved from Pittsburgh to Wheeling, WV with his wife, Kathy. They had 5 kids. Myself and my brother Josh, and then 3 great kids adopted from the Philipines (Jennifer, Casselyn, and Zachary).\r\n\r\nMy grandfather, Millard, had two brothers, Leroy and Hoit, and a sister Danola. Leroy's kids are in northern Alabama (Athens). The rest are still in central Alabama.\r\n\r\nThe only thing I have heard about where all us 'Aderholts' came from is that in the early 1800s a German with the last name 'Adderholdt' moved to America with 2 sons. One went to Alabama and had a family and the other went to the Carolinas and had a family. I understand that anyone with the name Aderholt, Aderhold, Adderholt, Aderholdt, etc. is related and descended from that German. \r\n |
